Accommodation
Double / Twin Room (1-3 pax) . There’s a kitchen, the hosted couple’s bedroom – which doubles as storage space – a narrow corridor, and a small but comfortable guestroom, simply furnished with a bed, chair, candles and a trunkful of books. There are no facilities, no electricity and candles and a kerosene lamp provide the only light at night.

Guides
Our experienced trekking guide will bring you along during this 3 days, as well as the National park ranger for the climb of the Kirigalpoththa, will be our guides & hosts.
ITINERARY
Day 1 (L-D)
The trip starts by the Kalupahana Junction by 9am where after taking up a small up hill countryside road which after many corners, we will down your transportation to equip yourself with your necessity for today trek. After few minute walk and appreciate the view on the highest fall “The banbarakanda” in Sri Lanka, you will take the broken Road for the next 14 KM and about 6 hours walk (depend of your stamina). After the 2-3km walk, passing by Udaweriya & its original blue temple, get the chance to encounter native people and their smiles, we will bring school materials (pencil, booklet,…) to give to kids we will meet upon the hike. 5km later, the road travels through a split in the mountain, known as the Udaveriya Estate bypass. This place has a religious significance for people in the area, and you will notice a small altar as you pass through it. Before crossing some streams, the trail full of sharp bends ascending on the side of a mountain crested with tea plantation and their settlement workers village offer breath-taking sceneries. Reach the lodge around 4pm for you to take a coffee break and finally enjoy a stunning sunset overlooking the Udaveriya Estate and the edge of World End. After dinner, a night walk of 1 hr across the cloud forest around the lodge to try to spot some sleeping birds and some night mammals.
Day 2 (B-L-D)
Early wake up and after a quick coffee, at 5hrs30 via road transfer, we will take the direction of the Starting point at the Conservation Office of the Horton Plain. By 6-6:30am, start 14km return way hiking up the mountain by a single overgrown trail most of the time cover by its high grass with several plateau. Pass through scenic grass plains, untouched cloud forests, mud steps, bogs & steep rocky way. Open your eyes during the hike on your surrounded for the scenery as well as the possibility to encounter various mammals as Sambar, Chevrotain, Wild Boar, Fishing Cat, Purple Faced Langur & large number of birds species as some rare and endemic as. Keeping ourself quiet enough might offer us the opportunity to see some of them. This unique hike will offer you to climb the second tallest (2388m) mountain in the country and it is also the tallest in Sri Lanka the public can hike. You should reach the submit around 8:30am, were a take away light breakfast will be appreciate at the peak all in completing the 360 degree scenic view. After lunch, we will take the return way to the starting point, where our transport will await for us to send us back to our lodge where you will take the rest of your afternoon to chill or even walk around the settlement.
Day 3 (B)
After your breakfast, we will get back on the road to your next destination. On the way out observe unique views of the World End and high hill mountain road offer breath-taking landscape.
This itinerary can be reverse following from where you will be coming from prior joining this adventure

What to Bring?
Head lamp, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, binocular, light trekking dry bag, swimwear, money (no ATM), water bottle, toiletries, basic first aid kit, sleepers, long pans & shirt as well as short & tshirt, sweater for the cold night, biscuit, very good trekking shoes (Similar as Salomon X trail) & trekking socks.
Things you should know!
Phone coverage is all good to go on day 1 and not existing on day 2. Satellite phone will be in case of emergency available from your guide. First Aid Kits will be available all the way. Please bring along light warm and waterproof clothing as you will spend your 2 days in outdoor which are subject to weather conditions, and may be re-organised in the event of bad weather.
We will bring some school materials to offer to the kids along the way

Departure
Daily based on a minimum booking of 2pax per departure. Solo traveller will incur single supplement charges. Adventureous & Sportive couples, families, children are accepted (No children minimum 12yrs old), groups of friends and others in excellent physical condition and good stamina keen on Trekking & Wildlife in an adventurous setting. We consider this 2d1n to be one of the most epic hiking experience every venturers could desire to experience an off the beaten path and adventurous set-up with long and smooth hike (no big difficulties), wildlife lover & meet the native community
