Yearly procession always happen during the January Fullmoon at the Kelaniya Rajah Maha Viharaya which is the most sacred temple in the western province since Buddha’s sojourn during his 3rd visit, for 3 consecutive days (28, 29 & 30). It’s the country’s most elaborate and grandest low country event which commemorates the religious significance of Buddha’s visit, in belnding cultural traditions of dancers, singers, drummers and colourful parades, which will amazed you all nights.
