CULTURAL CEREMONIES?

VEL

One of the most important festival of Sri Lanka Tamil community, celebrating God Skanda the hindu war also knows as Lord Muruga. The festival has been held in the city of Colombo for over 140 years. Devotees in bright clothes goes up and down the streets holding chariot parades, tinkling bells and the Kavadi which is the ceremonial offering dance. Unique experience  to see often ritual performers piercing their cheek and other body parts

ESALA PERAHERA

The annual 10 days torchlight parade of dancers and drummer, dignitaries and ornately decorated elephant will kick off this month in Kandy

ENCOUNTER THE WILDLIFE?

Similar as June, most National Park all around can be visit, following the season Wasgamuwa, Yala, Wilpattu, Galoya, Angamedilla, Kumana, Udawalawe National Parks are at their best.

To be able to venture into the sea and encounter magnificent Dolphins as well as blue & sperm whales, Trincomale/Nilaveli (East side) will be the best port to depart on early morning cruises
