Finally the moonson has lefted the island which offer back incredible time to travel to the west, downsouth & hill country . the temperature can be quite high around 30C with some pretty dry climate at certain areas.

 

Christmas will be hosted with such nice beach atmosphere. Trekker will do expect chilly windy evening in getting into trails of Knuckles, Pidurangala Ranges, Horton Plains & the rainforest area as Sinharaja.

Wildlife photographer can finally venture back to all blocks of Yala, birding in Buntala, Mannar, Sinharaja & Horton Plain, Elephant Gathering in Udawalawe

 

Get back to Kalpitiya for some swell and kiteride some splendid lagoon

The whale (sperm & Blue) as well as Dolphin can be spotted around Mirissa, join us on some catamaran cruises.

December is also the beginning of the Adam’s Peak Piligrimage Season which will go all the way until end of April- avoid to climb it on week end and public holidays as it will be extremely crowded

The New Year’s celebration is all the more festive because it is observed by both Sinhala Buddhists and Tamil Hindus. The annual event is marked by religious ceremonies, family activities, traditional foods, colourful decorations and a general feeling of good will toward neighbours and friends. This important national festival, known as Avurudu in Sinhala and Puththandu in Tamil, is not celebrated in any other nation. It is unique to the people of Sri Lanka

April is the last month of the season to sport Dolphins and Blue & Sperm whales in Downsouth, from next month every cruises will move to Nilaveli/trincomale

Kirina in the downsouth offer the best diving spot around the whole island of Sri Lanka which is only open March and April, come and join to dive great basses - Only for advance divers
