DSD - INTRODUCTION TO SCUBA DIVE
Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you. Quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
You can choose from two different options. The DSD Program to 6 Meters is guided by a Divemaster and you only receive basic information about diving. The DSD Program to 12 Meters Depth will teach by an instructor and you will get further information about diving and develop certain skills underwater. There is also the possibility to do a second dive after your first DSD-Experience.
At your arrival at the dive center (1.15pm), after being welcome and introduced, you will try out your equipment before heading to the speedboat who will be awaiting for you at the beach. You will get through the learning the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional (Instructor or Dive Master). If you make an open water dive, you’ll practice a few more skills in shallow water to prepare for your adventure. You will also got through most of equipment explanation, how to use it underwater as well as what is all about the DSD. You will then experience a “mise a l’eau” of your boat with some sensation passing by the wave walls. Arrival at the dive site, go over the scuba equipment you used to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear. Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater. Learn key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive, and finally have fun swimming around and exploring for your one first dive
To breathe underwater for the first time - what a feeling! This is simply incomparable! You have to get used to it at first. After all, people are not made for it normally. After a few minutes of quiet breathing under water, most participants realize how easy diving can be. To stay calm and to follow the instructions of your PADI Instructor or Dive Master are the first prerequisites to complete the first diving exercises of your life. If that works after a few minutes, most of the participants are really enthusiastic and never forget that first impression under water.
FUN 2 BOAT DIVES
Experience our local diving spots (reef, rock, wreck) within different depths for your personal fun dives. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced diver, with us you will find and arrange 2 boat dives at your diving skill level which will meet both, your encourages and expectation after discussing your dives with our PADI divemaster or PADI instructor. Get wet and explore our east coast underwater treasure
At your arrival at the dive center (8.30am), you will be welcomed from one of our local and international Dive masters and instructors. We provide you with equipment if desired, help you to prepare and organize your group. Finally you will have a comprehensive but compact BRIEFING together with your group. We will tell something about the dive site, explain important local and special dive site - related methods and techniques, repeat the signs for underwater communication and answer any questions you might still want to clarify. By 9am, we will finally go, we cast off! Together we bring the equipment to the boats, of course our staff helps you if you are not capable of carrying it yourself. When everybody is on the boat we get to one of our many dive sites, of which most can be reached within 20 minutes. Arrive at site, you beginning a two-tank boat-dive which consists of two dives. If there is a significant difference in depth between the two approached dive sites, the deeper one will be dived first (we dive with PADI and therefore avoid reverse profiling). Depending on the zero time a dive is at maximum of 45 minutes.
The surface interval (~ 30 min) is usually already covered by the drive to the next dive site, but we will give you enough time to recover you from your dive, and prepare your equipment for the next. Here too, we are happy to assist you. Between the dives we will NOT go back to the dive center if possible.
By 12.30pm, you will be back at the diving school where we will invite you to talk about your underwater experience with tea and biscuits, help you to complete your logbook and identify organisms that you have seen during your dives before we will move to your next destination.
